I've been writing about Epix Gear for a long time. They first caught my eye with their incredibly wild designs, and an interesting business model of constantly-rotating graphic designs as well as apparel design. Moreover, the company was perhaps the first in the industry to offer one-piece minimum orders on fully-sublimated apparel. Some others have recently adpoted that model, and while Epix has generally been the brand to beat on pricing for low-quantity custom apparel, they haven't always had a true top-shelf trisuit line. Until now. This is their GoFierce custom line for teams, check out the full review for more.
The design process with Epix is fun and collaborative. If you're an artist, you can have a hand in the process, as much or as little as you'd like. If you're not an artist, they'll provide you with unique designs and inspiration based on your input. Here's how our designs evolved.
The suit is my favorite piece of apparel from this custom process. It fits very well, is snug all around but not constrictive, and leaves virtually no wrinkles for the wind to see. The abounds with little features like dual leg pockets, a zipper cover flap up top, a comfy flared collar, and a dual-layer modesty panel in the crotch. This is an excellent racing kit, with custom TriRig design all around.
Two-Piece Kit (Shorts + Tri Jersey)
The two-piece kit offers more flexibility in terms of creature comforts, as well as sleeving options. We had a mid-sleeve kit made, and Epix Gear delivered a beautiful custom design. Still, we have some small nitpicks of the two-piece design versus our preferred one-piece suit, but they are minor.
