The 2013 edition of the Vegas 70.3 World Championships was both a surprise, given the uncharacteristic rain in the middle of the Las Vegas desert, and not a surprise, given the repeat win for the men by Sebastian Kienle and the dominant performance for the women by Melissa Hauschildt.
