25,233 I like R2C shifting, but SRAM says it's not ideal with the new equipment, specifically the non-trimming front derailleur.
The new SRAM Red group was released earlier this year, and has been a surprise on a few levels. SRAM addressed all the major complaints that had been levied against its previous flagship group, cut out a significant amount of weight, and introduced a novel front shifting mechanism called YAW. But they didn't do what many have been waiting for them to do - go electric. The drivetrain remains mechanical, but can it survive in a world that has largely gone battery-powered?
