The truncated rear sections look very much like kammtail shapes to me. This has aerodynamic benefits, but also allows the bar to stay nice and stiff without resorting to lots of extra material. This also means the cable ports can be nice and big without compromising the shape of the bar.

One of my favorite things about running TriRig is when I get the privilege of showing off brand new equipment that no one has seen before. Well, this is one of those times. You're looking at the brand new Zipp Vuka aerobar. It's still just a prototype, and nothing official about it has been released to the public. But when I saw this bar on Jordan Rapp's bike, I snapped up all the pictures I could. There are some pretty interesting features on this bar, and I can't wait to hear more about it when the thing gets released. Enjoy the gallery, and for more info, check out the article.
