Taylor Phinney won the Stage 7 Time Trial of the USA Pro Cycling Challenge in Denver, Colorado. The overall winner of the 7-day event was Christian Vande Velde, but as a very young rider and time trial specialist, Phinney took particular pride in stealing the hotly-contested win over some of the more established names in the peloton. We snagged some shots of him and his bike, the BMC TM01. Enjoy!

Taylor Phinney is no stranger to funky style, and was seen warming up in Oakley's very first eyewear product, the original Eyeshade

The TM01 is set up to accommodate Taylor's very tall frame.

Like many smart riders in the pro peloton, Phinney has turned to a split-nose saddle for its superior ergonomics in the aero position. He's riding the original Adamo Road.

The aerobars were set up with these custom oversized carbon fiber arm cups - they have a lot of extra length for a more comfortable position, and salmon-colored rubber pads. The base bar is the Easton Attack TT, which is a decent bar but has been eclipsed by some modern offerings which are better and more functional in terms of adjustment range. The Easton is basically fixed in place, requiring you to adjust stack and reach primarily via your stem.

Taylor chooses to run Dura-Ace mechanical instead of Di2.

Phinney's SRM computer sits right between his extensions.

Phinney's SRM power meter is adorned with Rotor chain rings, blocked out by tape to hide their origin.

Phinney won the Stage 7 TT on his TM01 and his Olympic Stars and Stripes helmet.
