  • The 'sting' consists of the truncated Cervelo Wolf fork, which was used for all brake runs for consistency. Every brake also had a run of cable that was kept consistent in size. The brake pads were kept at the same stance width, and at the same absolute height as well.
  • The side-on shot provides some perspective as to the full size of the testing area in the Coggan Low Speed Wind Tunnel.

  • To give a sense of perspective, here's just the best and the worst - the TriRig Omega vs a standard sidepull brake, Shimano's Dura-Ace.
  • A lot of people have been interested in how the Omega fares against the new Magura hydraulic brakes. As expected, the Omega's smooth, sealed shape has better high-yaw performance than the Magura, which is a lot of little spots for the air to get trapped. Also no surprise is that they have similar low-yaw performance, as both brakes have very low frontal area.
  • The drag added by each of the production brakes tested.
