Art Gallery by Aaron Palaian

Each year, TriRig heads out on course to capture race photos of athletes out on course at the Ironman World Championships. Our galleries are journalistic in nature; that is, we want to get a good look at the equipment, the athlete's position, etc. So we generally take side-on shots so you can see all the details. And we try to make the photos look pretty.

Pro photographer Aaron Palaian, on the other hand, delivers images that are much more artistic in nature. It's fair to say that his work evokes drama and excitement, and I dare say they offer an emotional insight into what the island is actually like. We were honored to host a gallery he shot for last year's race, and very thrilled that we get to do it again this year.

Enjoy the galley! Aaron can be reached at his website, PhotosByAaron.com. To see all of our coverage of the 2018 Ironman World Championships, click here.
