It's no secret that Epix Gear has been a favorite of ours for several years. What's new is that Epix Gear has really broken through a glass ceiling and now provides truly high-end custom kit. If you're looking for top-shelf features, with an individual level of customization, and also want to pay a reasonable price, Epix Gear is virtually the ONLY solution for you. Basically, any other brand is going to compromise on one of those three criteria. I've been very happy to use my Epix kit for the past several seasons, but now their product has come to the point where even for my critical A-level events, I'm happy to choose their GoFierce apparel to race with.
The design process with Epix is fun and collaborative. If you're an artist, you can have a hand in the process, as much or as little as you'd like. If you're not an artist, they'll provide you with unique designs and inspiration based on your input. Here's how our designs evolved.
The suit is my favorite piece of apparel from this custom process. It fits very well, is snug all around but not constrictive, and leaves virtually no wrinkles for the wind to see. The abounds with little features like dual leg pockets, a zipper cover flap up top, a comfy flared collar, and a dual-layer modesty panel in the crotch. This is an excellent racing kit, with custom TriRig design all around.
Two-Piece Kit (Shorts + Tri Jersey)
The two-piece kit offers more flexibility in terms of creature comforts, as well as sleeving options. We had a mid-sleeve kit made, and Epix Gear delivered a beautiful custom design. Still, we have some small nitpicks of the two-piece design versus our preferred one-piece suit, but they are minor.
